Our department was established in 2008 under the Faculty of Engineering at Iğdır University. The department actively operational in cooperation with the comprehensive Civil Engineering Laboratory since 2015.
Four Professors, one Associate Professor, four Assistant Professor, and four research assistants currently working in the department. The department has a laptop and a printer for all faculty members and internet connection in each room. The department prepares its students for a competitive working environment by making use of projectors in all the amphitheater and classrooms with fully equipped computer laboratories and Civil Engineering laboratories. The department have several student clubs established for the field of Civil Engineering. Civil Engineering students can enroll these club based on their interests. Through the symposiums, congresses and panels organized on various topics, the students are invited to our faculty to ensure that our students can follow the theoretical knowledge as well as the practice closely. Our university have fitness, football, basketball, tennis, and volleyball fields for students’ participation.
